It is great to see so many members frequenting the course and clubhouse, be it for golf, meals, raffles, trivia, poker or a social beverage. For the period of 1st January until 31st August, we have had 28,596 competition and 13,187 social golf rounds. If we continue with the current trend, we should expect to have over 63,000 golf rounds for the year! Fantastic to see that golf is alive and well in our region.\u00a0<\/p>\n

With the weather now warming up, coupled with the great work that Trent’s team have been undertaking, it will provide a strong foundation for a superior conditioned golf course for summer.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Trivia continues to grow at the club on a Thursday night, sometimes it’s a full house which is fantastic, well done to Paul, our host. Raffles on Wednesday and Friday nights will soon see an update with a long awaited new software program commencing in the next week or two. Poker continues to be popular on a Monday night, and welcomes new players if anyone would like to try their hand!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Band nights provide some good quality entertainment on a Saturday night once a month, and we are pleased to announce that commencing shortly, monthly Karaoke will be added to the entertainment schedule. We look forward to hearing the talent of our members in due course.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n

4th Green<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This week the construction phase of the project has been completed. We have been fortunate with the weather over the past 4 1\/2 weeks to ensure we could keep to a schedule that has members playing a temporary green is kept to a minimal period. Thank you to construction team – Craig, Paul, Bob from Craig Parry Design, along with Trent and our team for the fantastic work to date. We now move into the grow-in phase. The green was laid on the 30th August and will have covers over it for approx. another 10 days.\u00a0<\/p>\n

All going well, we should see members playing the new green in 12 weeks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n

Masterplan<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Following the positive comments received after the members information session for the 4th green, the board decided to proceed with engaging Craig to commence a course masterplan whilst he was to be onsite for the 4th construction. The masterplan will cover all aspects of the golf course capital works and playability adjustments of the course for the future years. New Members<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Whilst we welcome all new members to the club, there are two particular members worth a special mention. Our resident Osprey have two chicks in their nest down on the 11th hole! Keep an eye out next time you are playing the 11th.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n

Indoor Golf Studio<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Progress on the indoor golf studio continues, with the inside fit-out\u00a0well underway. The bays are in place and all structural work is now complete. Trackman will be back onsite in the coming week or two to finalise the simulator side of the project. We hope to be able to provide a better update on an expected opening date later in the month.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/div>\n

Caf\u00e9 – Kiosk<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Unfortunately the DA for our new caf\u00e9 remains with council. We hope to have an update from Council at the end of the month. We appreciate many, including the board and management are frustrated with the delays, however, we ensure you that as soon at the DA is approved, works will get underway to have it operational as quickly as possible.\u00a0<\/p>\n

AGM – Save the Date<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Whilst the notice will be provided to members shortly, please save the date. The AGM will be held on Monday 16th October 2023 at 5pm.\u00a0<\/p>\n
