8am to 10am Men’s & Ladies Competition (including Veterans 18 hole Competition).
2 Tee Start Events include Stableford, 4 Best Ball, Stroke etc.
Time sheets are available in the clubhouse from Sundays 8 days in advance.
ELIGIBILITY FOR MEMBERSHIP
- Must be a financial member of the Ballina Golf & Sports Club and
- Attained 55 years of age.
A club member can join at age 50, becoming a ‘Junior Vet.’ Restricted to home club events only (excluding our Open Day) and can participate in ‘Bus Trips.’
We are members of the Northern Rivers Veteran Golfers Association (NRVGA – Group 14) and affiliated with the NSW and Australian Veterans Associations (NSWVGA and AVGU).
- $15 on joining
- Then, annual membership fee of $15 paid when renewing your club membership.
MONDAY IS VETS DAY (except public holiday Mondays)
- Weekly 18 Hole Competition in conjunction with,
- A weekly 18 Hole Stableford competition the ‘Chook Run’
Bus trips are organised from time to time to visit other clubs in northern NSW and South-East Queensland. Some of these are overnight trips with two days of golf.

Ballina Golf Club Veterans Competition Report Monday 16th November 2020
On Monday 16th November2020, 148 Members and Veterans played an 18 Hole Stableford event. The winner was Laurie Johnstone with 44 points. Second was Eric Sellick with 43 points. Third on a countback was Peter Kempnich with 40 points from fourth placed Ian Eade from fifth placed Rod Willis. Sixth was Anthony Ryan with 39 points from seventh placed Bruce Rollo.
There were 29 balls to 36 points on a countback.
The Card Draw winners for $68.00 each were Roy Morgan, Richard Grainger, Kevin Bullock and Mal Lawn.
N.B. Four Card Draws are now held in lieu of Pro Pin and Lucky Card Draw
135 Veterans participated in the Veterans 18 Hole event. Winner was Rod Willis with 49 points winning $40.00. Second was Ian Michelson with 48 points, winning $30.00 . Third on a countback was John Townsend also with 48 points, winning $20.00 . There were 9 X $10.00 vouchers down to 43 points on a countback. Voucher winners were Bruce Rollo, Trevor Stephenson, Eric Sellick, Geoff Browning, Ken Nunn, Joe Walo, Steve Arahill, Ray Devine and Greg Cross.
