Ballina Golf Club Competition Report Monday 17th February 2020

On Monday 17th February 2020, 126 Members and Veterans played an 18 Hole Stableford in conjunction with a Medley Irish Four Ball event. The course was in excellent condition after the recent rain although the “rougher-than-rough rough” provided some extra challenges for the occasionally errant golfer.

The winners of the Irish Four Ball was the elite, selective grouping of David Maxwell, Rick Rutten, Val Suarez and Kevin Bullock with 88 points. Second were Rod Cooper, Richard Duncum, Mal Lawn and Ray Day with 85 points edging out Eric Sellick, Bill Crane, Mal Hamilton and James Byrne on a countback.

There were 25 balls to 33 points on a countback in the Single Stableford event.
