It’s been an incredible week on our brand‑new 1st hole, with not one but two albatrosses recorded by members — a remarkable achievement and a fantastic way to christen the redesigned opening hole.
Darren Balcombe – Saturday
Darren struck first on Saturday, holing his 4‑iron approach for an albatross. A pure strike, perfect line, and one he’ll be talking about for years.
Chris Lynch – Wednesday
Not to be outdone, Chris Lynch followed it up yesterday by holing his 7‑iron for our second albatross of the week! Two shots, one hole, and another incredible moment for the new layout.
A rare double
Albatrosses are among the rarest feats in golf, and to have two in the same week on the same hole is something truly special for Ballina Golf & Sports Club.
