The Board of Ballina Golf & Sports Club wishes to remind all members of the standards of behaviour expected when participating in Club activities both on the course and in the clubhouse.
Recent matters considered under the Club’s disciplinary processes have highlighted the need for all members to:
- respect one another and maintain a calm and courteous approach at all times,
- play within their assigned group and timeslot, unless otherwise directed by Pro Shop staff for operational reasons,
- and, importantly, if an issue or concern arises on course, to contact the Pro Shop or on‑course officials to seek assistance or direction, rather than attempting to resolve matters directly with other players.
Members are reminded that the Rules of Golf and the Club’s By‑laws—particularly the behavioural expectations outlined in Match By‑law 17 regarding integrity, respect, safety, and sportsmanship—apply at all times. The Club maintains a zero‑tolerance position toward aggressive, abusive, or unsafe behaviour.
The Board thanks the vast majority of members who consistently contribute to a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment for everyone. Your continued cooperation is essential in preserving the positive culture we all value at Ballina Golf & Sports Club.
