After a series of tightly contested matches, the 2025 Vet’s Matchplay Championship has come to a thrilling conclusion.
Congratulations to John Whitty, who claimed the title in impressive fashion! John navigated a strong field, defeating Paul Parry in the opening round, overcoming David Walker in the semis, and finally edging out Alec Howat in a high-quality final.
A big shout-out to Alec Howat, our runner-up, who showed great consistency and determination throughout the event, including strong wins over Bradd Farrell and Stephen Harrison.
Thank you to all competitors for making this year’s Vet’s Matchplay such a spirited and enjoyable event. The sportsmanship and camaraderie on display truly reflect the values of our club.
