A team of five golfers from Ballina recently competed in the regional finals of the Volkswagen Scramble at Lakelands GC.
Brenton Parish, Luke Hamilton, Nick Hunter, Paul Kirkland and John Newton
With a score of 17 under par and a handicap of 3.5 they won the event by 0.5 of a shot.
The final will be a four-day event, probably on the Sunshine Coast, with a halfway cut, reducing the field in half.. The teams making the cut will be joined by a touring professional for the final round.
