The new rules of golf have a number of changes, including how the course is described, e.g. the old “Through the Green” is now “The General Area”.

The general area covers all parts of the course except for the teeing ground you are playing or starting from, all penalty areas, all bunkers and the putting green of the hole the player is playing. ( Rules of Golf Definitions ).

The area of ground between the 4th hole yellow penalty area and the 6th  hole yellow penalty area, also known as “Sally’s Garden” is part of the general area of the course.” It is not a penalty area.”

All stakes be they wooden or metal and attached ropes/chains etc  on our course are classed as immovable. Free relief can be taken for your stance or swing path but not line of sight.

Don’t forget to check out our standing local rules as per your scorecard.
